At Purrs & Pours Cat Café, our mission is simple yet powerful:
Changing the world one cat at a time.
We believe every cat deserves a loving home, and every person deserves the joy that cats bring. Our café was created to connect the two in a warm, welcoming space where coffee, community, and compassion come together.
How We Do It
Adoptions with Purpose – We partner with trusted local shelters and rescues to give adoptable cats a comfortable, home-like lounge instead of crowded kennels. Here, cats can relax, socialize, and show their true personalities, making it easier for them to find their forever families.
A Café That Gives Back – As a for-profit café with a mission, every latte, pastry, and purchase helps fund the care and support of our cats. Donations and community contributions go even further, directly supporting supplies and adoption efforts.
Community & Connection – Our Cat Lounge provides more than an adoption center. It’s a place where people who may not be able to own pets can still enjoy the comfort of spending time with cats, lowering stress, boosting happiness, and creating meaningful connections. Our weekly events will provide activities for the community.
A Better Life for Cats & People – By offering a safe, cozy environment, we give cats a second chance at life while giving people a chance to experience the therapeutic joy of feline companionship.

Meet the Co-Founders & Owners of Purrs & Pours Cat Café

Co-Founder & Cat MomStar’s love for cats started early at her grandparents’ house, with a cat named Kitten. She was so determined to bond with Kitten that she even ate her treats so Kitten wouldn’t feel alone. Later, her dad’s cat Beethoven showed her another side of feline life: a scrappy adventurer who’d wander the woods for weeks, return covered in battle scars and still curl up sweetly at home. From those two cats, Star learned that every animal has a story and that they all deserve love, safety, and a second chance.
Although she once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, life had other plans. After visiting nearly ten cat cafés around the country, she realized she could still live her passion by creating a cozy space where people could relax, connect, and help animals in need. That dream became Purrs & Pours Cat Café, a place where every visit makes a difference.
Star wants guests to feel immediately at home when they walk in, to slow down, unwind, and share in the joy of being surrounded by gentle, loving cats. She hopes visitors will know her and Taylor by name and feel part of a growing community built on compassion.
Her dream for the café’s future? To see it grow and reach more towns, each one spreading joy, connection, and second chances to both people and pets. On her days off, you’ll find Star curled up under a blanket, watching cozy movies, and dreaming up new ways to make the world a little kinder. She believes in appreciating each day fully and giving her all, because as she says:

Co-Founder & Cat MomTaylor’s love for cats began practically the moment she was born. Her first cat was her childhood best friend, patiently letting her dress him up, buckle him in a stroller, and join every little adventure. From that moment on, her heart belonged to animals.
With a degree in baking and a lifelong dream to help animals, the idea of a cat café felt like fate. After visiting one for the first time, Taylor instantly knew she wanted to bring that magic home to New Hampshire. A place where people could enjoy cozy drinks, homemade treats, and the company of adoptable cats looking for their forever families.
At Purrs & Pours, Taylor pours her heart into everything from baking cookies and oatmeal cream pies to making sure every cat feels safe and loved. Her goal is for guests to walk in and feel the warmth, comfort, and joy that come from being surrounded by good people, good food, and good cats.
When she’s not at the café, you can probably find her snuggled up with her pets on a rainy day, sipping hot chocolate, or baking what she calls her “sad cookies”, a family legend that says a little sadness makes them taste even better. She believes in kindness, helping others, and giving every animal a second chance, because as she says:
“You won’t change the world by saving an animal.
But you will change that animal’s world.”
What started as a simple friendship between two animal-loving coworkers has grown into a lifelong adventure. Star and Taylor met years ago while working together at a nursing home, quickly discovering that they both had a passion for cats, a love of good food, and a dream of doing something truly meaningful together.
Taylor, with her background in baking and her lifelong love of helping animals, always wanted a space where cats could find new homes. Star, an entrepreneur at heart, found the perfect way to combine her love for animals with the dream of creating something uniquely their own.
Now, they’re blending their passions at Purrs & Pours Cat Café, by creating a cozy space where our community can unwind, sip on something delicious, and help give cats a second chance at a loving home. Their friendship turned into a partnership, and their partnership turned into a mission: to create a welcoming space where they can be our own bosses, live life on their terms, and most importantly, share the joy of cats with everyone who walks through our door.
